"I don't see what all these 1-star reviews are complaining about. This is a pretty typical Chinese takeout joint, not PF Chang's. The flavors are supposed to be mild so you can add condiments to your taste. The decor is going to be outdated and the kitchen is going to be messy. The workers aren't buttering you up like you're local royalty. You're paying <7 dollars for a lunch special, it comes with the territory. I'm eating this place extra high to make their rating closer to what it should be. Pros: They are pretty generous with meat and vegetables in the noodles, low prices, open late, really thick egg drop soup with plenty of yolk (I personally don't like eggs, this was my roommate's compliment) Cons (kind of): the sweet and sour sauce is mostly ketchup. I guess that is typical in some regions, but it is kind of hard to turn it into the sweeter more pineapple-y flavor one might be used to. Not much beverage variety."

"My Go-To Place for Vegetarian Chinese Food. I 'm originally from the Midwest and our 'Chinese ' food is very different from that of Western New York. Buffalo has some great food, but cheap American-Chinese food is not one of it 's proudest cuisines. That being said, this place tastes like home! The food here is better than at any other fast Chinese restaurant in the Buffalo area, and the vegetarian options are outstanding! The fried satay they use as chicken is crispy, hot, and when smothered in sesame sauce--it 's just incredible. My food is always ready, the staff is very nice, and they keep the place clean. It 's my absolute favorite hole-in-the-wall Chinese stop, I just love it."

"The cafe 59 has a separate vegan/vegetarian menu. So they know that this place will have options. options that they have for both vegans, vegetarian their omni friends. they have a full bar and it is a friendly place. I had sweet sour beet with red beetle spinach leaf. I also had hummus with gurke and focaccia brot. it was great and the beer selection was good."

"It's pretty good. Saw a picture and asked the young man tak ik ng the orderes what it was, but what I got wasn't what the picture was. The place is easily missed looks like a house. Which I think is really cool. Would like to try again and see if they can identify what is in the picture. Lol"

"The staff was friendly. The service was excellent. Then everything else went south. The burger was evil, didn't eat it. The waitress noticed and asked why he hadn't eaten the burger? We didn't complain, but she wanted to know it sincerely. It doesn't taste good. She was quick to ask if we want something else? No, thanks. She immediately offered to take it out of the bill. Okay, thanks. Then the manager wanted to know what was wrong that the Hamburger wasn't right. I couldn't explain, just don't taste good. Okay, good, no problem. We both come home, meet the toilet room... use your imagination. This is the fourth time we ate here and that was the first time that the food was BAD."

"This place has the most delicious General Tso’s Chicken that I’ve ever had. It was crispy, the sauce was perfect and they didn’t load it with a bunch of vegetables. The decor is pleasant, the restaurant is clean and the staff were courteous and attentive. We’ll be returning often."
