"We visited Tin Donkey a week ago, on a rainy sort of day. Very fast easy check in and very welcoming staff. But, the best thing was the excellent coffee. This will be my 'happy place ' away from town centre. Thank you Zac."

"I had a pleasant experience. I got the ultimate bacon egg roll and it was delicious and filling. The decor is an old wood theme and looks very welcoming, however the seats are a bit uncomfortable maybe some cushions would help. No air-conditioning so I was sweating (28° day) but staff were friendly and reasonable pricing"

"A useful place to stop on the creek walk. This Sunday was very busy and service slow and some wrong orders for our companions. Quickly corrected. Good coffee and pleasant outdoor area. Water bowls for the dogs. Will be back"

"Got two pieces of hoki. Had to pay extra for crumbs. It was passable. Bought my daughters a hamburger. The patty was 80% Soggy breadcrumbs. The other burger was a chicken schnitzel it was lunged to an inch of its life and cooked similarly. It was like cardboard. Chips were quite good but could have been crisper. We may be spoilt having a great local fish and shop so close by in brisbane. Same order that normally costs under $30 was $57. . . ."

"Charlie's restaurant is the onsite restaurant at Novotel's Pacific Bay resort in Coffs Harbour.During a 2 day stay enroute to Sydney from Brisbane, after a longish drive south (roadworks) we decided to eat in at Charlie's. A great decision!The service was excellent and the menu sufficient for good choice. Medium priced, the meals were good quality and medium sized. We enjoyed 'happy hour' before dinner - seriously good value from, again, excellent bar staff.Breakfast was to 4 star standard and to the standard we expected. Again, service was a stand out. No complaints whatsoever!So good was our first experience we returned for our second night's meal at Charlie's. Again a sound choice.Admittedly we are Accor members and so enjoyed membership benefits (meals only). Nevertheless the quality of meals at Charlie's was consistent and good.We will stay at Pacific Bay on the way home and dine again exclusively at Charlie's-because is it good value and excellent service."
