"I'm astounded. I've never had pork that tasted so old in my entire life. Taste like pork that was in a freezer for 6 months oh, I'd be really interested to have a health inspector come and check out their freezer. It was the salt pepper pork that I ordered. Run from this place oh, I'm not sure how they managed four star rating. The woman at the front was very helpful and kind though. Very friendly and I enjoyed her service oh, but the food that's salt pepper pork, wretched."

"Veggies Cooked to Perfection!. On a recent trip to Sacramento, I made my way to Au Lac Veggie restaurant to check out their vegan Asian fusion fare. Vibrant aromas wafted into the parking lot from the kitchen-a good sign, for sure. Au Lac is simple and casual, and the prices are startlingly inexpensive, with entrees ranging in price from $5.95 to $7.95-about what you'd expect to pay for street food, not at a restaurant! Most of the dishes rely on soy-based meat analogues, although there are dishes made with only vegetables). I wanted to avoid anything deep-fried Orange Veggie Chicken Nugget sounded enticing), so I decided to try the Veggie Chicken Vegetables #29). <br/ <br/ The sauce was delicately seasoned and flavorful and the texture of the mock chicken was surprisingly pleasant. Sadly, I often find the food at Asian vegetarian restaurants to be drenched in salt and oil, but joyfully, this dish was neither excessively oily nor salty. It was quite delicious and left me feeling healthfully satisfied.<br/ <br/ My dining companion ordered Veggie Beef Broccoli. I didn't taste her dish, but the broccoli looked as though it was cooked to perfection, and I could only imagine that the mock beef was as good as the chicken. I look forward to my next visit to Sacramento and another great meal at Au Lac Veggie."

"My husband and I love the grilled chicken pho from Co Mai's kitchen. Broth is so balanced and fresh. We used to get the shrimp and pork spring rolls, but tried the veggie spring rolls once and never went back. The veggie spring rolls have fried tofu and some sweet crispy bit that's really unique. We usually also get the egg rolls, but they are fairly standard. One thing is I wish they had a fried shrimp or fish cake appetizer on the menu."

"The appetizers were very good, especially the salad cases, but the main dishes were simply ok, lo-mien good, shrimp dish was tasteless. Our drinks were also a mixed bag. The first had very little rum, the second was much better. Our server was nice, but the person who brought out the food was unclear. He asked me every time he came with a court when we ordered us, X, even if we had our main dishes on the table. We had a reservation and we were in a two-person table at the door. Noisy, windy/cold, etc. simply not what I would have expected with a reservation per week in advance. It's not a hurry to come back."
