"My first time trying Sri Lankan food, but it will definitely not be the last! I visited Spicy Zest in Farmers Branch and every single item was absolutely delicious! It is most similar to Indian food ? which is not a surprise given the proximity of SriLanka to India ? with a bit of a twist. I had the Lumprais, which is Fried Rice with Cashews, Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves,Cinnamon, Cloves and Garlic wrapped in a Banana Leaf with Eggplant, Fried Egg, Plantain Curry and a protein of choice. A veryunique dish with many unique flavors throughout. I also tried the Kottu and the Yellow Rice, both equally tasty. Therestaurant was clean, the service friendly and they also have a store in the back with Sri Lankan items for sale. There is alsoa bar, and they do offer a buffet during the weekends. If I have any criticism, it?s that I would prefer a little more spice.That said, I wanted to experience the food in it?s traditional way for my first visit, and they also brought me some chili sauceat my request. There is another location in North Richland Hills, but I understand that the menu is somewhat different. If youlike to try new cuisines, or have never tried Sri Lankan food, you owe it to yourself to try Spicy Zest. If you do, leave a notein the comments to let me know what you thought of it."

"We love Hawaiian poke. Came here with the same idea. We ordered the bowl with tuna. Sad to say the rice was horrible, old and cold. The tuna pieces were so tiny and they only give you a small ice cream scoop full. Very disappointing, could not eat it because eth rice was not edible. Maybe it was because we came here at 7pm on a Thursday, not sure if they are primarily lunch at this location."

"One of the greatest gems in Farmers Branch. This is my go-to place for breakfast tacos!...as well as their selection of traditional Mexican food. My favorite thing to get there is the green chilaquiles, be careful they're a little spicy but that's how I like mine. They have some of the best green salsa, it has a rich texture and nice kick. Its a really unassuming place, you can tell they cook their food with love. It's a family owned business, you can find the owner there regulary, very friendly environment."

"This place is a gem! Great services and always so clean. They have variety of kolaches and really good coffee. We are so lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. Everyone is so nice here and super pet friendly. My fur baby gets so excited when we walk near cause he knows he get to go in and greet everyone."

"Old hasbrowns and syrup all over the only empty table and the waitress got angry when we asked her to wipe it. So we asked for a cloth so we could wipe it and she says they don't have any. She ignored us the rest of the time we were there; she wanted us to leave and I guess we should have but it was late and we were hungry."

"Eh...not horrible, not great. Mainly beer and pizza, neither of which were noteworthy. Rather pricey for the quality. Our appetizer was cooked inconsistently, with part being hot and part being cold and raw. (The manager did take it off our ticket but never bothered to come by our table...they were not busy). Overall, if you're driving by it's worth a stop but I wouldn't go out of my way again to eat and drink there."
