"We happened upon this cafe on a busy bank holiday lunch time. With room to accommodate us all we had lovely friendly service. The chef was really helpful and went off menu for us offering a personal recommendation to spice up regular toasted sarnies. Apart...from the toilets (sorry they weren't great) I would recommend this cafe no frills, hassle free, friendly. May look a bit pricey but you get great portions so value for money is good."

"We called in today for a quick lunch and were impressed by the very reasonable prices for good quality food. I enjoyed a ham sandwich with side salad, coleslaw and crisps for just £2.80! The daily special advertised on the blackboard was a steak baguette with mushrooms, onions, fries and salad for just six pounds. Staff were friendly, service was reasonably quick for freshly prepared food and they speak English! (Decor, tables and mats could do with a tidy)."

"I am camping near by and popped into grab a sandwich and have a look. Amazing sandwiches using a proper joint of ham, delicious pork pies and I even tried a nibble of their faggots unexpectedly delicious. A great place and I plan to return during my stay. All local meat lovingly prepared."

"We went on a quiet week day morning, the staff were friendly and the majority of the family were happy with a bacon bap. The views were great, had parasols for the picnic tables outside and they had a great selection of Marshfield’s ice cream. I wouldn’t say that this place is suitable for coeliacs currently and would suggest further training in awareness of this medical condition (see Coeliac UK website). They offered to make a gluten free breakfast which was kind, but the coeliac in our party decided to have an ice cream instead as there was a tub of icecream that was fresh, so there was a reduced risk of cross contamination from any other scoops having touched a cone. We made it clear that she was ceoliac and needed a fresh scoop and to scoop it from the fresh part. We were assured of a scoop fresh out the dishwasher. The server said she was partially coeliac and that a small amount wouldn’t hurt. This is not correct information about ceoliac disease. We reiterated that even one crumb is dangerous and is necessary to be very careful. We were then offered a (gluten containing) waffle cone, twice. Sadly the awareness of celiac disease wasn’t there at present."
