"Went for a quick sea swim with family and noted the cabin on the green was under new management; feeling a little chilly on the way out (it was 1st April) the lovely lady served us the best hot choc ever into five small cups; kids report it was the tastiest they ever had!! We are coming back for coffee and ice cream. Definitely recommended for ice cream or a drink and a view. Five stars for friendliness and top quality drinks!"

"On a very cold but sunny January day we needed something quick to warm us up, and we weren't disappointed. We were told the soup of the day was corn chowder and seeing the hesitant look on my face I was quickly offered a sample to taste needless to say we were soon sat down with a large bowl of delicious soup each. We were soon warmed up and on our way. Friendly and courteous staff in a warm and clean restaurant. We'll be back."

"This is a traditional cafe run by cheerful and welcoming staff, it's visited by all sorts of folk, tourists, workmen, locals, etc. We needed to be fed having arrived on the early ferry and this seemed to be the place. We both had a large breakfast with mugs of builders tea, two of everything and absolutely great, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, 2 toast, we didn't need to eat again until the evening. Our large breakfasts were £6.25 each with tea at £1.30 fantastic value. We enjoyed it so much we had a repeat performance on the way back to getting the ferry after our holiday. Highly recommend to others wanting a slap up feed, smaller and larger options are available."

"Thanks to the waterfront bar and restaurant, deadland bay for our golden high-time lunch with the family today so a fabulous experience. great eating, amazing attentive and cheerful service and great value. they really know how to go the extra mile, even something that wasn't on the menu was thank you again. xxrod irene ps. the intention is also quite amazing"
