"This is the best breakfast place we have been to here. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the Bloody Mary and it was very good as well. The atmosphere is incredible and has a laid back vibe. It felt very cool even though it was a very hot day. They make sure you are taking care of and went above and beyond."

"Cafe Vayan is one block block from our hotel ( Los Arcos Resort ) which is on the beach in Zona Romantica as it is known.They were having an all you can eat special for spaghetti bolognese and bread for only 82 Pesos which as of today's posting, July 12, 2017, is $4.62 US dollars which is a great price.Friendly and fast service with complete bar and pastries to go. We purchased a giant blueberry muffin to have the next morning with our coffee from the Oxxo convenience store which is also one block away.There are 829 restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and during July and August you can get seated pretty much in all the restaurants very quickly. "This quaint, good and inexpensive restaurant is now next to the old location. On Carranza, one or 2 doors up from the former space, you'll see a couple of tables on the sidewalk and an open door - right into the kitchen. Still serving the best burritos and many other Mexican dishes. The prices are incredibly low while the quality is just as incredibly high! Always fresh and yummy. Open for breakfast and lunch only."

"I was going to give my title "Hard to Find" but didn't want folks to not go any further in the review. What I was trying to really say is that in Puerto Vallarta there are not many Chinese restaurants especially one that makes everything fresh for your pleasure. The few other restaurants use heating trays where the food just sits for hours drying out. The owner I.e. Chef Ernesto welcomed us into his small restaurant which it appears could serve 15 people. It had a beautiful Chinese mural painted on one long wall. They don't serve alcoholic beverages but did send send one of his staff out to get one Pacifico and one Negro Modelo beer for us. He also served us fresh water with ice and some crunchy appetizers with sweet and sour sauce. My friend Will and I then ordered. Will who has been going to Ernesto's restaurant for years was my host and related no choices are bad based on his many visits. Being from the San Francisco Bay Area I know good quality Chinese food. Will ordered Kung Pau Chicken and Orange Chicken and Sweet and Sour Soup and I ordered Chicken Chow Mien and Chicken Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Soup. Ernesto's wife served us the soup which was in a large bowl and was just wonderful, and just spicy enough to cause my nose to run. Because it is ALL freshly made by Ernesto one has time to slowly savor the great soup and not feel rushed. Wow, you should have seen the 4 oversized plated of the above Chinese food they brought to our table. Will and I both told Ernesto to bring us doggie bags before we had even eaten a bite. Groan, groan it was hard to stop eating as Will and I shared all 4 plates of food. The food was so fresh I.e vegetables and meat and rice and noodles. Will and I both took home so much food that I had a huge lunch and didn't need dinner the next night. Fresh, fresh, fresh is hard to beat and they menu is very sufficient including many of my favorites like Egg Fu Yung. Then after we paid the bill Ernesto and his wife took us to the door and blessed us on our departure with smiles and salutations. They have a new address: La Capilla #181 in front of Park Santa Maria in Barrio Santa Maria. Tel 293-4561 or cell 044-322-303-7814. Open Monday to Saturday 12 pm to 9 pm, Sunday 1 pm to 6 pm. "During our stay in PV we often went to this buffet. It was such a big step change of Mexican on the Malecon. The staff was so kind and eager to get us everything we needed. Servings are big and definitely a great...for the price. We thought every duck we tried was spectacular. We miss buffet! I wish we could go to a place like home."

"We have been eating here once or twice a season for years. We went at 9:00 on a Friday night and there was no one else there. We somewhat nervously ordered drinks, salads and dinner. Of course, service was good. When the food arrived we...were pleasantly surprised that it was as tasty as it had always been. We the Caesar salad with chicken, club house sandwich, coconut shrimp and the special of the day, pork chop. All were tasty with good portions. Prices as reasonable as ever. We will certainly return."

"It was very busy and loud. The portions are very large so good to share. Margaritas were not to our liking it was from a mix we like them with real limes. It's very touristy, we would not go back. The food was not good."
