"How this place has as many stars on average is crazy. We visited yesterday, reason for our visit was due to its mid point on our way for a family week away in Norfolk. It’s location is great when on route to Norfolk but that’s...the only good thing about it. mains were ordered we ordered paninis which were “ok”, we also ordered a ham salad and a cheese salad, both salads priced at Now for that price you’d expect something at least half decent…. Ham salad slices of what looked like Bernard Matthew’s cheap packet ham rolled up to somehow present it in a fancy fashion (which we found rather funny a minuscule pot of coleslaw and at the side some chopped up lettuce, cucumber and tomato, utterly pathetic. Cheese salad same as above but with a tiny pot of supermarket grated cheese! I don’t often write reviews. I have this time to warn others that it’s seriously overpriced, horrendous quality basically a total joke and I felt totally ripped off."

"I visited for breakfast with my kids. The service was good and they were accommodating with my request for scrambled egg on a kids breakfast instead of fried. When it came, however, the scrambled egg was so overcooked it was dry and flaky and had so much pepper in it my daughter tried it but couldn’t eat it which was a shame. She enjoyed the rest of her breakfast though. I had eggs benedict (though I think they call it a breakfast muffin) which looked great when it arrived, with the poached eggs being cooked perfectly. I wasn’t keen on their hollandaise though, and it was a bit bland for some reason. All in all it was an okay breakfast and the staff were very nice. Next time I’d just have a normal breakfast instead of the breakfast muffin and I’d definitely not have scrambled egg!"

"Whilst shopping in Spalding decided I fancied some lunch. The burger was simple but tasty and the decaf tea served in a large cup and saucer, was very good. I didn't wait long for the food and the cafe seemed clean and tidy. There is outdoor seating but that depends on the weather. Staff not really that friendly but efficient I'd say. Good value for money and would visit again for both food and drinks"

"Great pub, great beer, under new management. We stopped here for a few beers. It is now under new management and the hosts are very friendly. Selling Woodfordes beer too. Not doing food at the moment, but hope to soon. We will be back"
