"The food is wonderful here. I had a corn and mackerel appetizer that was very inventive and delicious. Same for the perfectly grilled piglet. Service was also very good friendly and efficient. Prices were high but reasonable for the quality. Ambience is a mixed bag. It’s a nice restaurant but hotel guests have to walk through the center of the restaurant if they want to access the pool or restaurant on the 7th floor. Also, a lot of guests were wearing shorts and T shirts so no need to dress up. Overall, a very good restaurant, though, and a great choice for high end dining in Ponta Delgado."

"Our meal here was really delicious I couldn't stop talking about it for DAYS after. The Ravioli was handmade and perfectly prepared. The duck was delicious through and through and the accompanying vegetables were incredible. The chocolate cake was the cherry upstairs. Unlike almost any other place where we went, Valverde served real portion sizes that allowed us to fit all three courses with ease. The wine pairing was excellent and the staff was friendly and well known."

"Dinner 1: There is absolutely nothing that I can add to the pictures other than pure culinarian perfection in every detail . Edit: I stand corrected... Dinner 2: After the experience of the first dinner we decided to try our luck and it paid of. For the second time in a row we were the replacement for a no-show. First dinner was the Õtaka Classics so now we decided to treat ourselves to the Õtaka Experience. It was an absolute wow experience. Every course was well served and the tastes were pure delight. The chefs that create this experience are absolute professionals who understand the art of cooking. Together with a hospitable and friendly staff the created an evening that will be in our memories forever. My advice: Don 't do like we did, but reserve the moment you book your holiday, otherwise you might miss out on this culinary phenomenon."
