"We were craving Italian comfort food, and were so happy to find Porto Bello within walking distance of the Marriott Puerto Vallarta- nearby in the marina. We went early for dinner, and enjoyed a great glass of wine, the sunset and boats, delicious food and...excellent service. Very affordable and good-sized portions. "We enjoyed our meal in trattoria de nuevo, the new name. that is a small restaurant in the bustling part of the romantic zone. we loved our food. the Caprice salad is very good. the pappardelle and sausages were delicious and had fresh pasta...to I had the bark osso buco with risottorei. that was just amazing and delicious. we had sangria instead of wein, because we couldn't choose a wein we liked. the service was a little slow for my taste. we had a long waiting period between salat and entrée. very friendly service from our waiter. as mentioned above, they changed their names and they will move in a year, just a few blocks from this place. Our waiter said the owner will update the LinkedIn profile and the new names soon. a lot of fun."

"Today We wen to this restaurant for the first time. The menu was in English Spanish. And the selection was quite large. We started Bruchetta Rustica,,Very tasty with a perfect mix of fresh Basil, onion,tomato topped with a sprinkle of fresh grated cheese. Then...a Cazuela cassarole of sauteed mushrooms with fresh garlic, tomatoes cheese, was good but could have been sauteed a bit longer. We then shared a OH CINQUE TERRE pizza. Home made thin crust seemed to be from unbleached flour and was excellent. It was topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, goat cheese, gouda cheese a yummy blue cheese plus we added eggplant. It was AMAZING to say the least. The cheese were so perfeclty balanced with the flavour of the Blue cheese UP FRONT . We ordered the medium size which we could not finish. The prices were very very reasonable. The food service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean. Way too many good things to try. so we will definetly be going back there soon."

"When in a different country (from my home USA), I try to eat the local cuisine. So when we recently visited Puerto Vallarta again, we ignored every restaurant except what appeared to be authentic Mexican places. But one night we just had a taste for Italian food. In our Romantic Zone neighborhood just off Olas Altas we found a little place that looks like nothing at all---Pasta Fresca. But the facade is a deception. Once inside, we could tell it was spotless, nice decor, good fragrance from kitchen, a nice bar area in the corner, and about 10 tables. The real surprise came when we talked with the owner and head waiter, Ruben. He went through the menu in a meticulous way, telling us about all the fresh ingredients that go into the dishes. It was so good, we went back a second time before we returned home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The spaghetti pomodoro is simple, very fresh, and delish. I had the Pesce of the Day, fresh salmon, and it was fantastic, both times. Very nice ambiance, very clean, friendly staff, great food. Reasonable price too. Fine dining experience, but not expensive."
