"We stopped off at Ramsgate RSL for Sunday lunch and visited The Olive Leaf for the first time. It's a pleasant room and the maitre d, Cyril, was very pleasant and obliging. There were not a lot of people eating but enough to add some atmosphere. We decided on bruscetta to start. I have to say that it was the very best that we have ever had. The bread soft centred but crunchy. the topping was very tasty. So far so good., We both ordered pasta for main and my wife was very disappointed with her pumpkin ravioli ($26 for main size).. Some of the ravioli edges were hard and the dish was heated unevenly. We figured that it was microwaved from the frozen state. The sauce was very good. My penne with bolognese sauce ($26 for main) was a huge meal but it was very bland. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was pretty flavourless. Limited wines are available by the glass."
