"Hello, dear readers. It's been a turbulent few weeks for me. I've been going through a few health-related issues, as well as some personal ones. Not going to delve into the details but this month has been especially difficult. The only thing that keeps me going? The promising weather, my rotation of 33 new lipsticks, food (both literally and figuratively."

"Passed by and decided to pop in for lunch. <br/ <br/ There 's a lunch deal section for about $10 for a decent amount of food. I ordered the BBQ chicken which came with a side salad, wontons and rice.<br/ <br/ Side salad was kind of slack. Just lettuce with a drizzle of dressing. Wontons were no good. Lots of wrap 'skin ' with little filling. It was also super oily. I didn 't end up finishing it. Rice was nice since it has a coconut infused flavour. Chicken was not bad. Bit on the dry side and could use more marinate. <br/ <br/ Not bad but not great either. Probably won 't return<br/"

"Been craving dimsum for a few weeks now. Checked on zomato for a near by dimsum restaurant and came across Van Dragon. Ratings and reviews made us hesitant to even want to try this place, but glad we drop by anyways. Dimsum came out fresh and hot, except the beef rolls. The sizes of the siu mai and ha gao were pretty big. Service wasn't too bad. At one point my boyfriend wanted more tea so he decided to bring the pot up himself to pour some hot water in, but the waitress saw him and grabbed it from him and apologized for the lack of acknowledgement. When the bill came, my boyfriend noticed the tea was free of charge! What a bonus!"

"What nobody would line up for food at this Srilankan food stall?? It was so good, delicious and authentic!! If you like asian, Indian and Srilankan food, you must come here and try their food. <br/ <br/ We ordered a dish of egg roti and plain roti with curry chicken and biryani with chicken, eggplant moju, fried egg and pickle as well as a cup of hot chai tea. OMG! They were really good and at a very reasonable and affordable price! Ask for mild spicy if you cannot eat very spicy food. I particularly loved the hot chai tea. They added ginger to it. It was way better than the chai tea at Starbucks and any other cafes. <br/ <br/ There is an underground parkade at Tinseltown. Take an elevator up to the food court. You will be able to find this food stall called Canra Srilankan. I am not sure what else I can describe to you. You must try and experience it yourself!! If I will be in this neighbourhood again, I will definitely come back and try other dishes :P"

"Let us come right out and say it. Any place that does not fry falafels to order is serving 'fast food. ' Sure, it may taste pretty good, but fresh falafels are so much better. That said, Falafels Plus makes a mean fresh falafel sandwich. The only negative is that we wish we there had been more sauce options."

"This is my favourite Malaysian Restaurant in Vancouver. Eventho' prices are a little steep but food's great. Curries look like what it should look like back home, thick, strong NOT watered down (at least that's what it was, when I tried it some time back), rendang's good (almost like mom's), KL Hokkien see is yummm, noodles in egg sauce is delish Hainanese Chicken rice is good too. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially to anyone who wants to try Malaysian food, for the 1st time. Try the best never look back, till the next best comes along. They also have another branch in Marpole, 75th Hudson."

"This place is great. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and while the servers can sometimes seem overwhelmed, the service is generally good.
We usually order a meat thali (a meal combo), which has fantastic value. It's about 20$ for 3 dishes of curry, a naan, a samosa, a drink, and a dessert. We usually split it between the two of us and still have some leftovers.
It starts out with a big samosa covered in chickpea curry and mango chutney. The samosa is hot, crispy, and flavourful, and the chickpea curry is also very tasty. All the dishes are also very good; the thali comes with lamb curry, chicken curry, and butter chicken. All are delicious, but the lamb curry is my favourite (I even like the butter chicken, even though I'm usually not a fan). You get a fair portion of each dish, and all of them are flavourful, with high-quality meat and an appropriate level of spice (we usually get a level 2 or 3). The naans are soft and fresh, and the rice pudding you get for dessert is very nice too! You even get a beer included with the meal (which I sub out for an awesome mango lassi since I don't like beer).
Whenever we go there we get a great meal at a very nice price, in a lovely little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. I basically have only good things to say about Jolly's, and if it were closer to my place I would go there all the time! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice Indian restaurant."
