"On New Year's Eve we wanted to go to one of our favorite restaurants in SLC for a special evening. However, the evening was absolutely the worst experience we ALL had ever had in terms of service. We arrived at 6:15 per our reservation and quickly received our drinks and waited 40 mins for olives and bread. We politely asked 2 times over the course of the 40 mins when we might get the olives bread. No joke, the waiter said, I do not control the kitchen and walked away. Second time we asked we were informed since we had been there before we should expect this service. My salad came out before the bread and olives and our food was delivered 1 hour and 20 mins after ordering. We truly did enjoy the food once we got it. Please note that the restaurant was only half full at this time. Upon receiving the check we asked to speak to the manager. I am not confident that the person we spoke to was in fact the manager but he was polite and for the first time we got an apology for the slow service. Our waiter came over and proceeded to tell us off for speaking to the manager. The manager had to ask him to leave and he did see first hand what we had put up with during the evening. We won't be back even though the food was good and our corkage charge was taken off. The waiter absolutely needs to understand that there is a right way to manage situations and a wrong way. Our waiter should star in a training video of how not to handle situations with your customers. Throughout the evening we noticed we were not the only ones upset with the service so I don't think it was just our table of 4. There are many other good restaurants in SLC and I recommend you go there instead of Sea Salt."

"Waiter and manager were so rude for my family and friends. we went there to enjoy our sunny afternoon buffet, but he pampered our mood with his rude behavior. when we asked him to server the naan, he answered loud wait at the end we ask for naan for 4 times and then he finally foamed it. we asked him to clean the table plates 4-5 times, and then he came to us and said loudly, I will not clean the table we answered how rude you are. we will not come next time and his answer was dont next time. from we were so surprised by his bevaiour. children in our group started crying and women were annoyed because of their behavior....read more"

"Consistently excellent. Every dish we've tried here and we've tried all the appetizers and entrees but some of the kebabs is first class. Tonight's well seasoned dinner was loobia (green beans), beef and okra, and eggplant and chickpeas. Since one is not going to be able to resist ordering an appetizer(better yet the 3 choice sampler with muhamara) the size of entrees is generous enough that you'll have some leftover stew which will reheat very well. "Great set-up with a giant transformator blase right in front. 1 savory chicken wing Thai-style tamarindensauce with fried tweepers on top look really good! you have to try it! 2 weeping tiger in the grunde a marinated steak served with a side of salat and spicy and ranch dressing this is a good dish to not forget for Thai tee haha it is good to ask with him the part here is huge so, make sure that they are ready to share their dish and I will definitely come back to try more dishes"

"Unlike the online menu, the print menu is clearly marked as to which dishes can be easily modified to be vegan or vegetarian. They make their own salad dressings and they warned me off the ones made with honey. I got the Veggie Zereshk Polow. It usually comes with tzatziki sauce. I was expecting them to simply subtract it, but they provided a vegan sauce instead. He took the time to tell me about other vegan dishes I might enjoy on future visits. When the bill was paid, he handed my husband an Andes Mint and gave me a dolmas instead. Little touches like this earned him a handsome tip. P.S. The restaurant is named The Med rather than Cafe Med."
