"Great place, great food and cocktails. The veggie tacos were full and delicious, and the bartender made sure that I white black beans (instead of rice and beans with crisp non vegan ingredients). Bonus the black beans were amazing perhaps the best part of the meal!"

"Update #2: still one of the best restaurants around, certainly for authentic Mexican foods. pablo gave us the best service. he was so happy. their mauls were the best I ever had. so incredible deep of taste with 27 ingredients. the shrimp ceviche was as perfect with the way it was cut. the Baja fish tacos were one of the perfect dishes, with the finely shaved hollow and chipotle aïoli offer excellent contrast, but not away from the star of the show that fish. such a great place. eating was some of the best Mexicans. the cochinita pibil and carnitas were amazing. their black and salsas were divine."

"They celebrate the 85th birthday of a friend. she retreated from own restaurants and can be very critical to eating, service and ambiente. she loved every aspekt of zocalo! no complaining and commented that our waiter was exceptional. the ice with cream-cuffed chorro and the sparkling candle was a very pleasant and fun surprise! it has made her day!"

"I really love Anejo in Calgary. It's a fun place to bring friends or family for dinner and drinks in the summer time. The food has been quite good from my visits. It can get quite busy, so be prepared to make a reservation on the weekends. As other reviews have mentioned, it's not a place to go for a quiet meal - the atmosphere is more spirited. The only downside is the price, which is unfortunately on the expensive side for a Mexican cantina - not uncommon for Calgary. From 3:00-5:00 daily, they have a happy hour on food and drinks."
