"Went to eat here for the first time for lunch. The food looked amazing and the restaurant looked beautiful. The Peruvian music made me nostalgic and brought memories from childhood. A couple issues with the food though. The anticuchos were cooked on the outside and pretty red/bloody inside. The paella de mariscos/seafood paella wasn?t flavorful and we had to add quite a bit of salt to feel something. The ceviche did not taste fresh. I did let the waitress know that the onions smelled rancid and the rancid flavor carried throughout the dish but she just acknowledged it. Maybe it wasn?t a good day for the chef, but for the price point my expectations were a bit higher. Might give them a second chance in the future."

"I don't usually do reviews unless I still think of the place after I visit but came next door to get my car smogged during lunch and saw this Taco truck right next to the shop so I decided to give it a try. They had the Camarones a la Diabla plate (Spicy Devil Shrimp Plate) as the special of the day so I went with it and it did not disappoint one bit. I was amazed how good and spicy it was. Had to have been one of the best I've tried in the Bay area. They have a few tables and chairs setup in front for people to eat which was a plus. The 2 people working in the truck were super friendly as well. Was so good I had to order another plate to bring home for my wife's dinner. Wife was blown away how good it was. I will definitely be back again for the food and service."

"Delicious empanadas; I went in and got some to go, but if they had a big order I would recommend placing it in advance. many delicious aromas, so I would recommend trying several species. only note is that they charge extra for the chimichurri sauce, so make sure to ask it, vs provided that they put it in the box."

"We had a reservation and we're seated right away. Our waiter admitted off the bat he was new, we told him it was our first time at Mountain House so we didn't have anyone to compare him to. We started with drinks and appetizers and our waiter was patient while we looked over the menu and chatted. My husband ordered skirt steak and I got the shrimp and scallops. Our food arrived and everything was beautifully presented. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp were a nice texture. I noticed my second bite that I was given the wrong meal. I asked our server if it was the primavera which he answered it was. I reminded him I hadn't ordered primavera and he took it away. While he fixed my meal, it was disappointing that he confused the only two pastas on the menu. The other disappointment was that my husband's meal got totally cold while he waited for me to get the correct entree. We ordered peach cobbler for dessert and it was delicious. Fresh peaches, creamy ice cream, it doesn't get much better. Overall it was a good dining experience. Would go back."
