"Nice place. I volunteer at a place up the street and have been using it as a beer break in the long walk I take after work. Everyone is super friendly...and although it is not quite like it at all...the environment and people reminds me of Cheers. "Vim’s is one of the best restaurants I was in California. my server eric was so attentive and attentive, he even called us before our reservation to ask the names of birthday people and put it on the menu! he has consistently seen to make sure that we are good and it really felt as if he took care of us. the escaped, probably the best I had in a very long time, the pork plier was so moist and cooked for perfection, the whole plate was. every bite I took, I couldn't get enough of it. the pasta was there with the black onion, everything was simply amazing. not to be repetitiw, but the dessert was delicious, the strawberry choir was simply perfect and the dark chocolate caramel filled cupcake just melted in my mouth. it wasn't even on the menu, and they threw it free for my birthday, I couldn't ask for better food or service for my birthday dinner. Vim’s is a top competitor for every restaurant in California with great portions, top of the line Entrees and desserts, and amazing service. I am ready to visit santa cruz again for their food only. highly recommended!"

"The food and service were good. The gnocchi was a few dollars less here than at other Italian restaurants in the area. They were also more generous with portions including the bread basket. It was just a lot smaller than I expected so don't blink or you may miss it."

"Still one of my favorite ice cream places (ever). Bitter caramel is insanely good and imo the most iconic. If you wanna bring it to the next level, order with burnt marshmallow. The texture isn't always consistent but it doesn't bother me that's what happens when you don't use chemicals such as emulsifiers and gum. A little icy, extra charming. Please don't change a thing in the recipes!"
