"Went here after finding that the Westport one is shuttered. Nice spot, the lunch is cheaper but filling and we had a vegetarian enchilada and a papa rellena. The chips were warm and salsa had a kick (Rio: in your salsa do you put Chipotle or something in the salsa? We were debating on the flavor. Really good."

"It is a pretty crowded restaurant BUT I've never had an issue with my food or time waiting etc (usuallly the lastest is a 20-25 min wait). My absolute favorites are the Gumbo, Camptown Shrimp and the fries. The strawberry Margarita isn't bad. My husband gets the Carne Asada and enjoys it. We come pretty often and will continue to. The prices aren't bad either."

"NOT HERE!!!!!!! Last night, the administration of this “family” owned restaurant Gordito's threw my friend, who accidentally travels a US marina, and his 4 year old daughter in the cold last night while waiting for a taxi to pick her up. My friend and his daughter went to Chuck E. Cheese. Apparently his phone died while he was there, so he couldn't contact his wife to pick her up. At 9 a.m. when Chuck E. cheese closed his daughter next to Gordito and ordered his daughter a glass of milk and had the management phone for a taxi. At 9:20 the manager demanded the two waiting outside the facility for the taxi. The little girl was wearing only a T-shirt and pair shorts because it was hot earlier the day, but in the evening it was windy and cold. My friend asked the manager if they could wait a few minutes until the taxi arrived, but the owner/manager insisted that both wait outside. This is inevitable and shameful to treat someone like this, let alone a 4-year-old girl and her father, who will happen to be back in town for a short time after being away from his family for almost 9 months. My friend said it was easy to let go because this is the kind of person he is. I can't just let that go. For a restaurant that is proud to be a family, they showed no sympathy for this father and his innocent 4 year old daughter."

"The food was delicious! Carne asada tacos were flavorful and the meat was tender and juicy, not dry. Carnitas also had delicious flavor. Will definitely eat from this place again!"
