What truly sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming family who operates it. Their upbeat attitude and exceptional service make every visit a delight. The restaurant’s cleanliness, including the restrooms, is noteworthy, and its location next to Walmart is incredibly convenient for travelers. El Comalon embodies the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine, making it a must-stop for anyone passing through. We’ve enjoyed their incredible food and hospitality at least 10 times on separate occasions, and it never disappoints. "The wait staff is extremely nice. My review is strictly on the monstrosity disguised as food. The food is repulsive. The chips were warmed but stale. The fact that warmed chips still tasted stale, show how old the chips served were. I had a simple plate of chicken bell peppers with some red sauce. The plate they serve is gigantic; it a disgusting platter of food. The size of the plate with beans and rice is astonishing. I could not eat the food and they use very low quality ingredients. "The Fajitas for two, which is what is in the included picture, are the best Fajitas we have found Anywhere That platter has bacon wrapped prawns, shrimp, kielbasa, Carne asada, chicken, and the veggies are grilled too....Yummy !! With the Fahitas for two platter you also get another one with what you see in the pic too with salad, rice, cheese, Pico de Gallo, sour cream, beans and guacamole. We have gone elsewhere and tried their Fajitas but always come back to the Tecate Grill for the Fajitas for two because, no bs, they are the best that we have found."
