"Enjoy this opposite really, but unfortunately this restaurant was pretty dirty with all the options to choose. we tried the memphis brisket tacos that really didn't have much taste quite disappointing when we were in nashville. although the Salsa trio was delicious. the staff was very friendly."

Mexican restaurants the same. But this is slightly different, the decor and patio that most lack, is something I'm a fan of especially when it's good weather. The food is average but it makes up in its margarita(s). Both the regular and the passion fruit are both good and pretty strong. After one sip I was convinced Chuck Norris was the bartender. But you should try the first bowl or the fajita burrito if it's your first time. Also I wanted to thank the manager on duty who had no problem at all reviewing the tape after my girlfriend thought she lost her purse even after the restaurant has closed. Luckily she was a lil tipsy and just lost it in the back seat."

"I have never been to a restaurant like this so I wasn 't sure what to expect but I wanted to try something different for my birthday and this place did NOT disappoint!!!! I love scallops and was open to trying the lamb...but went with my waitress 's recommendation of the scallops and OH MY GOD. While I may not have the most sophisticated pallet nor was I super familiar with some of the ingredients (confit leeks?? , I decided to branch out and I think I 've ruined eating out at normal restaurants from now on. I ate the meal so slow because it tasted amazing and I truly wanted to enjoy every bite. In all honesty, the rissoto was the highlight of the dish imo, but everything was phenomenal. I 'm so happy!! I also love how elevated the atmosphere was....it 's just a totally different experience than anything I 've had."

"Being located in a strip mall adjacent to the Walmart and Lowes, you can be assured of lots of traffic in this area. El Sombrero is a clean, spacious place with the typical Mexican restaurant look of dark wood booths and tables. They have a very extensive menu and lunch specials. The food is also very typical of the TX-Mex style here in Nashville. Starting with the chips & salsa, the chips have been warm and the thick style. The salsa is a little thick and plain, though you can see herbs in it. (I add hot sauce.) We've found the tacos & burrito al pastor meat to be full of pineapple flavor, and the red sauce with it to be a little bitter and distracting. The steak & chicken combo fajitas are nicely flavored and come with a good mix of onion, pepper and tomato. You get the usual soft tortillas, guacamole and sour cream.
