"Drove down for a day trip out on Sunday. Stopped off for a drink initially. But the pub/Hotel is gorgeous. Decided to stay for lunch. Going to book the end of the month to stay over. Staff were supper nice. Food is outstanding. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5"

"Went here after a run around the outside of Castle Howard and needed a feed and some coffee. The castle has nice food but is expensive and appaling coffee. A quick search on this site and we found The Park. First the food. We both...had the bacon and brie toasted sandwich (the steak pie was sold out but we were there around 14:00). It was delicious, as was the amazing side salad. It was also huge, so the cinnamon toast we ordered was unnecessary... The coffee we ordered was a bit weak, so we asked for an espresso shoto be added. This was done with a smile and improved the coffee! Afterwards we had a chat with owners and bought some fresh baked goods that had a Swedish* twist. Would I go back definitely I think it was Swedish, apologies if not"

"Excellent selection of cheap lunch menu with coffee, cake etc. a few tables on the footpath if you want to see that the world goes by. you can park the skills of the driver in the free parking space for 2 hours directly opposite !"
