"It's not really a restaurant but a bar, neighborhood brewery. following the reviews found on the net, I was tested their caen-mode tripes ... a treat. Quick service, simple and by the friendly boss himself, great homemade tripes. no large kitchens or high-end service here but good local food. real gastronomy ... very attractive prices and not the feeling of being as in the tourist areas. Good time. We'll be back. I recommend."

"We visited on a Saturday night as a special treat to end a fantastic stay in Caen. After conversing with our waiter for several minutes, we ordered 12 Bordeaux snails to share as an entree. We then ordered our main meals, Beef fillet and Cod....To our surprise our mains arrived. When we asked about our snails, Staff stated we hadn’t order any! But offered to bring them after our main meal, not the desert we were looking forward to! The meal was very disappointing considering the price we paid and not very filling. Both meals came with spoonful of mash, two bits of turnip and carrot. We also noticed other customers receiving their mains before the arrival of their entrees . The French couple sat next us also made comment how disorganised staff were after they forgot his champagne after his family had already received their drinks several minutes before, shorty followed by him receiving the wrong entree. I could understand it if this was later on in the evening but at the time of us ordering there were minimal customers in the Restaurant. On the bright side the wine and beer were very good. 2 mains and 2 drinks was 71 Euros. Left feeling very disappointed and still hungry. Would not visit again and would not recommend."

"We tested the restaurant at large mere in April , the frame is charming with its small path , its rustic deco , the card is well garnished with a buffet of 1 dish "great mere" finally way big mere and it feels good , the fries are home and not frozen , a dish worthy of name , the pure has the old with a good bourguignon ,"

"I went here for a quick evening meal with my brother-in-law before going to find where we were staying for the night. We both had a coke and a mains. He had veal with mushroom sauce and I had steak with a fried egg. This...came to a few cents short of €35, so you can make your mind up as to whether or not you consider that good value. The service was good and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating to our poor/almost non-existent French. The presentation of the meals, it must be said, was first class and the meats were cooked to perfection. The only gripe would be that when I emptied my fries on the plate, I seemed to have quite a few burnt ends, but that didn 't detract from an otherwise good experience. I found the décor to be pleasant and the place was clean throughout. I would certainly recommend it. Unfortunately, I let the whole 'Brit out of his comfort zone ' thing get the better of me when settling the bill. Flustering with the unfamiliar money, I ended up leaving a paltry tip, for which, I apologise."
