"An old-school dining establishment in the heart of Covent Garden, which oozes French charm (complete with vintage Ricard adverts and similar memorabilia), Mon Plaisir is a place that any fan of French cuisine simply has to check out. The food is delicious and traditional, it's in no way minimalist but rather an assortment of classic dishes done to perfection: the coq au vin is a particular highlight, as are the petit-pois with cream and bacon mixed in. The restaurant also boasts a tremendously inexpensive set-menu for lunch and pre-theatre. "WOW Café Colbert is an absolute showstopper. My friend and I came here for dinner after seeing a show next door at the Royal Court Theatre and from the moment we walked in it was a 5* experience. Everything from the incredibly warm, friendly and attentive staff/service to the beautiful French bistro décor and of course the super delicious food made for a fantastic evening! I can highly recommend the stunning Côte de Boeuf served with French Fries (the best steak and chips I've ever had in my life) and their famous banana split dessert (which is perfect for sharing and brings back very happy childhood memories). My friend has the heritage tomato salad and the chicken paillard both of which he said were extremely tasty and fresh. Overall an outstanding dining experience you can see why they are always full so make sure you reserve a table in advance. 10/10 Highly recommended I'm always looking forward to coming back here again very soon. They really have the magic sauce."

"This one had to be a good one, because the French know food, right? So for an evening filled with haute cuisine, I headed to Pierre Victoire in Soho. Pierre Victoire could only be more French if it was really in France. There's French art hanging on the walls, French music playing in the background and French wait staff welcoming the guests. The view, however, is not so French as you look straight onto the construction site of Crossrail, but that will improve. Or so I hope..."
