"We were passing through Harrisburg, and my husband is a big fan of Pubs, so we thought we would give McGrath's a try. We have pretty high expectations when it comes to Pub's and good food in general. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the duck and they just substituted more vegetables for Boxty, since I am gluten free. It was cooked to perfection, and one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. The pear chutney combination was amazing! My husband said the genuine shepherd's pie (lamb! was extremely tasty, and a generous portion! The prices are VERY reasonable. We came on a Wednesday. It was quick service, and although the server said she was new, she did a wonderful job, and was very helpful! Would definitely recommend this place."

"4 Stars is...I liked it... and I'd agree with that. We went to see Roy Lefevre on piano and hadn't been here before. The reviews were great and we looked forward to a wow. Roy was great, as always, but that's where the wow ended. Bar drinks were good... but strong and not well mixed. They needed a stir for sure. A friend ordered the signature margarita, which she described as a shot of tequila. The waitress tried to help us, but shared they didn't have a sours mix... then why offer a margarita? The food was also good, but not necessarily hot or fully seasoned. By that, you shouldn't need to salt or pepper a $30 dish. We chose the calamari appetizer, which the waitress steered is away from. The apps really were better than the meals. We had a great night, but thanks to the company and entertainment. Average food at above average prices won't bring us downtown again anytime soon."

"Always looking for a restaurant with good homemade pasta, Pastorante did not disappoint. I had the special of the day which was a fusilli (rotini) with shrimp, asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes. IMO the pasta was a bit overcooked but it held its shape. The shrimp and asparagus, however, were perfectly cooked. I'm not a fan of sun dried tomatoes but those were easy to eat around (I didn't know they were in the dish) and the lemon creme sauce was light and flavorful. I also had the stuffed mushrooms with pancetta and mozzarella. They were okay. The mushrooms were flavorful but I couldn't taste the pancetta and there was too much mozzarella which was overwhelming. The absolute best part of the meal was the espresso creme brulee. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend it! With the perfect amount of coffee flavor, this was the perfect treat to end the meal. Stuffed mushrooms, side Cesar salad, pasta dish, and creme brulee $36. Good value for the amount of food."
