"We were a party of wanting to eat out on a November Friday. The restaurants we had looked at in advance were all fully booked. We asked our hotel reception for a recommendation of a simple. cozy restaurant at the Old Port. We did...not want anything too fancy or expensive. They suggested La Cantine and after checking it online, we made a reservation. The menu was influenced by Italian cuisine, but there were many local elements as well, which was nice. The daily specials board was great. Our group had a nice meal, e.g. octopus carpaccio, foie gras, pan-fried calamari (highly recommended, it was served ever so lightly breaded with a generous serving of green salad), gorgonzola steak and some delicious desserts with a local red wine. The service was attentive and friendly. The location in the Old Port is very convenient. Not a spectacular dining experience, but exactly what we wanted that evening nice and simple."

""If you don't bring your girl to Marengo's, someone else will" it says on the inside of this classy little bar. And I can well believe it. Not only is the garçon devilishly handsome, he is also a connoisseur of the pastis. After fielding me and my friends' questions about the various apero options, he then gave us two pastis with cassis syrop ON THE HOUSE! I'm not saying this is standard practice, or that you should expect the same if you came, but it just goes to show doesn't it? Does it?? I don't know.Anyway, it's a great, friendly little bar, right by the vieux port, with local prices and quick, friendly service. My new local.Bar bar b littbar"

"This is by far the best coffee shop I have ever seen. The interior so beautifully decorated I had to compliment the cashier on it. Turns out her husband did it all. BY HAND! What an incredible atmosphere and phenomenal cookies. Coffee was apparently great from my friend who got it, i got a tea. Couldn’t be happier with my experience"

"We wanted a quick snack and a croque monsieur is just that. Square maker is one of many eateries in a food court on the ground floor of this amazing shopping centre. We were served very quickly and the croque monsieur was prepared in front of us, The bread was fresh, lightly toasted and there was plenty of ham in the middle. There are many variations on the croque available - something for everyone. €10 for 2 croque monsieur + a shared canned drink is good value for 2 people."

"Nous y étions le Week-End dernier. Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant. Le gros problème c'est la nourriture. Plus exactement leur potatoes. J'en ai mangé une et je me suis précipité vers les toilettes pour aller vomir! C'est la première fois que ça m'arrive. Je n'ai JAMAIS de ma vie avalé un truc aussi dégoutant! Je conseille à tous de fuir cet endroit infect où, visiblement les règles les plus élémentaires en termes d'hygiène ne sont pas respectées. Je me suis plaint à la direction. Celle-ci m'a affirmé que le service consommateur me recontacterai, mais toujours rien. La direction m'a tout de même remboursé mon repas. Mais de la part de la direction nationale ou régionale : Pas un signe ! Face à ce silence (ce mépris), j'ai pris 2 décisions :1) Ne plus jamais fiche les pieds dans les Mac Donalds français.2) Ne jamais acheter de la sale bouffe américaine (attention à l'ouverture du marché transatlantique) Poulet au chlore, boeuf aux hormones, maïs transgénique, etc...Bref, j'espère que mon expérience servira à d'autres. Merci à Tripadvisor d'offrir la possibilité aux consommateurs-internautes de s'exprimer et d'empêcher ainsi d'autres empoisonnement alimentaire."
