"Happened upon this while strolling through the shops in Midland. What a find! Chatted to a few locals who were there and they weren't wrong! The pastries and butter tarts were delicious. Staff friendly. Cute place with some interesting items other than food."

"I've never been much of a foodie, until yesterday, when we went to Lily's Italian Eatery. We were in Midland to see the Big Rubber Duck and popped in for dinner at this lovely looking restaurant. We were told that they had run out of a few key menu items and were closing early, but, they checked with the Chef, and made an exception for us. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we walked in. The decor was lovely, the service was fantastic and the food was INCREDIBLE! We had the Truffle Raviolis and the Chicken Carbonara. Both dishes were beyond anything we could have imagined, and the peanut butter cheese cake was the perfect dessert. I quite honestly can not tell you how perfect this meal was. If you find yourself in Midland, make sure you eat here : )"

"Walk into the smell of mold. Get the only seat with blinding sun, staff (who were all in sweat pants) did not care. Bathrooms a bit of a hike and down a flight of stairs. Very noisy, could not even hear my partner. We were getting our second course before the next table got their first, service started the same time for all. Could post a long separate review about the food."
