"Went for brunch for my birthday, there was an issue with our table needed for a larger party and we were moved elsewhere, which was annoying but fine. The service was a little slow and the brunch menu was smaller than advertised online which was disappointing. The shared bread starter was the same size for 6 as for the table of 2 next to us which was cheeky and some of our food portions were quite small. We did get a for amount of drinks but we did leave still a bit hungry. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £30–40"

"Went here on Mothering Sunday so it was busy. This didn't impact the quality of the service and food which were both excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff and lovely food. Will definitely go back when I'm next in the area."

"Very tasty coffee, although they do not have syrups. Eating is also delicious, I had the avocado, spinat and feta toastie that was very beautiful. they also have a selection of cakes on the display. the seating places are however very cramped, a single room, which is filled with predominantly 2 seated uncomfortably next to each other. that's the only reason I give it four. I could see that families try to gather around a table. the personal is kind, the prizes are a little high, but nothing crazy. but would definitely be back here, but probably if it was less busy."

"We don’t understand the other rave reviews. The service was slow and haphazard. We were about to order but then they realised we’d been given the wrong menus so then the waitresses had to go and get the correct menus... Our drinks arrived after our starter had been finished…. And after we chased for them three times (water and coke are not difficult to pour). We also ordered wine for our main course which arrived when we were nearly finished… and then more arrived once we had finished (which we sent back as it was a mistaken double order). Took forever to clear our table and then we waited for 40 minutes to try and pay. In the end we actually went to the bar. When we questioned all of this, the service charge was removed and one drink was removed (we were a party of two). Even after reduction we still had a bill of £130+ for two of us for over cooked, cold starters, an average chateaubriand and two mediocre glasses of wine. We love to support independent local businesses and were really looking forward to HK but we don’t plan to return and wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to others."
