"Food tasted amazing but I was a little put off by the portions. I got 3 steak tacos... first one had more onion than steak, second one was about even but didn't even fill the tortilla from one side to the other, and 3rd was perfect. I have pics of the last 2 but I ate the first one there lol! Salsa was bland. Everything needed more cilantro but most places don't use enough for me. Salsa almost didn't have any though. Or anything else other than tomato. Rice and beans were good. Their cheese on the tacos was amazing so creamy and so yummy! Staff was very friendly!"

"Burrito de asada, enchiladas rojas, nacho, California burger. They managed to make the nachos have the perfect topping to chip ratio. The burrito is BUSSIN and absolutely delicious. It comes hot and loaded. The enchiladas are what you would expect, the cheese and sauce on then is exquisite. The pico salsa and hot sauce(? You're given with the meals is okay, not a fan of the hot sauce which is why its a 4. HOWEVER, if you like spice t hen ask for the JALAPENO SAUCE. IT SMACKS AND ITS SPICY. The burger is cooked well on good bread and isn't overbearing while still juicy. Mara'a owners are friendly and lovely."

"Walked in to a nearly empty establishment on a saturday afternoon. This alone is strange, but seemingly telling of what my experience might be. First thing I noticed is that the health score is below par as compared to similar restaurants in the area. Second thing is that the smell of dirty mop water lingered in the air as opposed to the food that they make. The hostess (possibly owner or manager, not really sure) met us at the door. She had somewhat of a hostile demeanor. No smiling or warm welcome. Almost like we were a burden to be there breathing her oxygen. After sitting ourselves on the patio, we were served by a fantastic fellow. Didn't catch his name, but he was very attentive and accommodating. We noticed on the menu that they charge for an extra basket of chips which in itself is not really an issue, however no other restaurant in the area does this so it was peculiar. We ordered our food and it came fairly quickly. I ordered a fried burrito which was about the size of an eggroll and contained what seemed to be low quality beef similar to taco bell's. My girlfriend ordered vegetarian fajitas which she said were okay tasting but they came with broccoli in the mix which seems like a strange choice. We also ordered cheese dip as an appetizer however it was lukewarm and had the texture and taste of straight milk. My girlfriend used their restroom and said it was too gross to sit on the seat. I give it 3 stars because our server was great, the food was quick, and it was priced reasonably well. However, the bathrooms are gross, the food was sub par (compared to others in the area), and the hostess was entirely uninviting. I personally won't be back based on this experience. Update: saw homeboy cooking out back in the parking lot the other day."
