"El Jarrito was a great experience. The food was so good! The service was also amazing. We had Enchiladas, queso Flameado, chips, warm salsa.... all spectacular. The place was very clean, nicely decorated and the bathrooms were clean. This is more on the traditional side than tex-mex. If you're looking for this, I recommend El Jarrito."

"My husband and I are new to this part of the city and we were looking for a good Mexican place to eat. We did some research online and read many terrible reviews about this place, but there was a groupon deal so we decided to test it anyway. Maybe they've increased their game or maybe we're lucky, either we'll go back. The hostess was peppy and polite when we came in and our server came almost immediately to our table. Our chips and salsa were brought to us when we ordered our drinks that came back from the bar really fast. The red sauce had a nice little kick to him, which was nice because some places are so bland. We had both margaritas and we really liked them. After looking over the menu I ordered the trios Tacos and my husband ordered a Burrito. Our food came out quickly and it was nice and hot. My tacos were AMAZING! I was glad it was so much food that I could take the rest of it for lunch today. The tortillas are made at home, which is a really nice touch. My husband also enjoyed his Burrito and left remains today. I would recommend that people give this place a shot and not just go from the bad reviews. We loved it!!!"

"I 'm going to be honest, I 'm not vegetarian. I try to eat as healthy as possible, and I 'm always looking for new healthy dishes. I was so excited to find a healthy option when I went with friends to the Houston food park, and feel in love with Chef Renee 's zucchini spaghetti. Once back home, I went to the website and found out that she delivers too, a rotating weekly menu!! For the last 3 weeks, I 've had home delivery of a variety of new meals each week, all AMAZING. I thought I would feel like I was missing something, not having a hot meal, it was so not the case!! It 's so hard to pick favorites, but the nori sushi is out of this world, as are the apple crepes . Chef Renee is such a pleasure to communicate with and we are going to try her cooking class soon, where I can also learn to prepare raw meals as well. Dont ' miss!!!"

"You can always depend on having really good food, with good service here. This is the original taqueria name in Houston. I just wish their hot sauce wasn’t so basic, but otherwise good food. The breakfast is really good, with most plates being under $5!"
