"My wife and I took a day trip to Mariposa last Wednesday and we were just by chance near Don Ruben's Mexican restaurant around the noon. That was a great place for lunch before it went to the museum. Everything about this place was great: the ambience. food, service, even prices. As usual, I ord the Chile Relleno, which I find as amatu cook, to make the most difficult Mexican dish. You have it on the menu as a side order for $4.50 per. I thought to start with them and maybe a taco or enchilada. Since it was lunch, and I am diabetics, that was Perftec. If I had eaten with rice and beans, I might have to take some insulin. You have a senior and children's menu that my wife ordered and the part was perfect. She ordered the Taco court, that was $7.50 and it was just a little more than she could eat. I generally don't like to go over 4 stars for restaurants, but this gets 5, because my wife said the beans and rice are the best they had in Mexican restaurant for a long time. Tip: The mixed margaritas $8.00) come in a fish bowl. Recommend to order them if you plan to visit the museum after your meal. But whatever you do, do not miss the museum when you visit Mariposa."
