"The open-air restaurant El Palmar sits on a corner on highway 200 as you leave or enter Ixtapa. Very authentic food, friendly service, live afternoon music and a great seafood menu. Extremely popular among the locals and out-of-town visitors and very family-friendly. El Palmar has been in this location for about three or four years and has plenty of parking. Unless they're very busy, the waitresses are at your table at once and follow up frequently. The afternoon/evening music tends to be quite loud and traffic noise is plenty. All in all El Palmar is a great place to dine if you're looking for the real thing with all the ambience and atmosphere that is Mexico. You'll like it."
