"Disappointing to say the least!. Firstly, I called the restaurant after we left this establishment to see if the manager would explain the confusion, he did not have time to talk after holding for a good ten minutes. We chose this restaurant based on the name, as we have an excellent local restaurant with the same name, thinking it was the same. We were seated, ordered drinks, as well did our two children. When our waitress returned with the drinks, she took our orders starting with the kids. They both ordered from the kids menu, think it was a quesadilla for one and chicken fingers for the other. "If you are NOT looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is definitely the place to go. The salsa tasted like the tomato paste was 3 years old and the enchiladas must've been served from a bucket. There was an olive in my beans that Queen Elizabeth the First must've spit out at a shitty cocktail party. Please stay away. Your stomach and your children's grandchildren will thank you someday."

"El Catrin is a fantastic restaurant! Their homemade salsa is the best in the city in my humble opinion, pure bliss. Everything Chicken that you order here is top notch, you can expect that. My favorites are the chicken tacos with seasoned meat, onions, cilantro, and a lime wedge, QUE RICO! Everything I have ever eaten here has been spectacular. I lived in south Texas for over 4 years and I know good Mexican food when I eat it. El Catrin is better than the best Mexican food I ever ate in Mexico or Texas. About the only knock is that I have heard that the late night dance crowd gets a little rowdy and wild from time to time. But, as far as the food goes, I think it is the best Mexican food in Omaha bar none. If you know of any better Mexican food, then please let me know...."

"Always changing it seems. I usually have lunch here every few months and it seems like it's always changing as far as portion sizeand quality goes. I was there a couple months ago and had the Asada y enchilada. I loved it...so today when I went I got it again. I'm pretty sure there was half the amount of food there was the last time....it comes with a cheese enchilada and there was barely any cheese in it...and I specifically remember there being A LOT in it the last time. For a meal that costs $14 at lunch, the size and quality today was rather disappointing. It's my favorite thing on their menu, so I hope it was just an off day for whoever was cooking it."
