"My wife and I had high tea here and it was generally excellent. I'd say the savory food is probably the best of any of the high teas that we've had in Melbourne and the desserts aren't too bad at all. I'm not really a dessert person but I did go back for seconds on a few items.The staff are friendly and efficient; my only criticism (a small one) is that there don't seem to be enough of them, I think for about half an hour after I finished my first cup of tea, I was waiting for a refill and not a waiter/waitress in sight.Generally though, excellent job, I've already told a few foodie friends to check it out, as the food is quite memorable."

"I was twice in bimbos and the first time was a great night with good music and the best atmosphere! the second (Friday night) was quite poor, the music was quite terrible - the dj looked like she didn't want to be there and. most time to look at her phone. also the outside area on the top floor was closed, which is a great place for chat with friends. it was also ridiculously hot, so I stood at the aircon most night. the only saving gnade in this night were the bar staff who are always chatting and friendly! if that were my first time in bimbos, I would not have gone back, but since I know that there can be a sick night, I will give it a chance in the future! So: I would also advise to bring cash as if its 2 items minimum on card"

"A typical Melbournian hipster cafe. The food there was a tad bit overpriced for my liking, but that was not the fault of the cafe. All Melbourne food and cafes are priced similarly.The restaurant gives off a great relaxed and yet rustic ambience about it, and the food, particularly the chicken and waffle, is a must have.Would definitely go back for the chicken and waffle. Sounds like a weird combination, but the meal was definitely worth it, and the sauce just adds an extra flavour unfound anywhere else."

"After being always impressed with this cafe on our annual tennis trip this time we were in shock.. food and menu was still the same, however not near the quality as previous years.. what was the most disappointing was the customer service and misconceiving pricing.....staff were all different, too just to smile have a chat or be helpful.. the pricing for coffee says “from”, which ended up being anywhere between for one coffee.. and those who like to share a surcharge for extra plate. Ridiculous and misleading .. obviously new owners trying to make an extra quick buck with misconstrued menu and pricing.. We will not be back !!"
