"Conveniently located near Fushimi Inari Taisha. Portion was a bit small but food was delicate and tasty. Nice lunch option after climbing."

"Small place (3 tables, no staff), you are made great by the nice owner who cook the delicious meals themselves. We had the lasagna and the burgers, along with local organic beers that were all great. Special mention of good music in the background."

"Had such a pleasant time and peace of mind over kyoto solo this year in juli all thanks to hot and craig who were really care, thoughtful and friendly host. the room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast (and takeaway bento for lunch were simply delicious. they were in a position to make my vegetarian needs (I can not alliums, e.g. wobble and garlic for religious reasons and even gave me detailed recommendations where I can find good vegan and vegetarian food in the city (lifemen,!) together with tips to visit next to the most important tourist areas, and it is recommended to make me feel more than just a food we even had many interesting talks about the vegan and vegetarian food culture in our respective home areas (Australia and singapur.) I have never met such amazing hostes and it sadly me to hear that the business was generally not good (all also in kyoto because of the pandemic. helen and craigs place is really a hidden gem that I want to go on. if they are looking for a heart-warming place to stay if they like cats (they are so adorable, and especially if they are a vegan / vegetarian, then vegan minshuku sanbiki neko is 100% recommended."

"It took a long time to order and then 40 min until we got the food...even if the place was almost empty!! The music was very loud and the menu unclear. They say they have vegetarian and vegan pizza, pasta, burger, etc., but when you get there you see it's not true. The only vegan real option is hummus and falafel. They even label french fries as vegetarian There was only one waiter and the (apparently) boss was yelling at him all the time. Very uncomfortable. It was not his fault to have more work than what one person can do. When we finally got the food the portion was quite smaller if you compare to the pictures in the menu and very poor quality. Completely disappointing. I think HappyCow must check the pictures that are shown in the gallery because the burger is a meat one and they don't have any vegan/vegetarian desserts."

"Love this place! Haven’t been in 4 years and being back didn’t disappoint. Had the Buddha Bowl, cake set and watched the river pass by. They let me in even though they were closed. Get there early to try, because they get really full, run out of food, and then close down…"
