"My friend and I enjoyed a lovely mid-week catch-up at Hatchet's. Upon arrival we were welcomed most warmly by the owner, who then proceeded to wait on us for the rest of the evening with ease and good humour. Offering us a choice of complimentary delicious fresh breads to start with was a nice touch! For starters we both enjoyed the yummy Soup du Jour (homemade fish and pasta) and for my main course I chose Chicken Provencale with sauteed potatoes and fresh vegetables, whilst my friend chose another dish from the varied set menu. We will definitely be going there again, and on our next visit we will leave more room and time to sample the dessert menu too! I would recommend this place to anyone for a cosy local evening out."

"Had dinner there the other night. It's a fairly simple restaurant with very basic furniture. I had a good hummus and asked for a suggestion. So I got some young chicken, charbroiled. Freshly made juice as a drink. Was overall pretty ok."
