"Such a shame.. My heart just aches for this special landmark that used to be so great. My husband and I have continued to patronize Kaisers through the construction challenges and various owner/management messes. On our most recent (and final) visit, we just ran in for ice cream cones about 90 minutes before closing. We were second in line for ice cream with plenty of people sitting at the outside tables, and two groups appeared to be waiting for their meals. I ordered a scoop of salted caramel, and was told it hadn't set up and I wouldn't be happy with it, then I ordered vanilla, same response so I finally got the green light on red velvet. "'Cheerful' is one of the adjectives I would choose to describe Coolgreens thanks to its great salads and attractive attitude. We had lunch twice in June this year, and if we ever go through Oklahoma City again, we want to go back. My partner enjoyed a lot of his own salad (they put the salad greens and toppings for you, but you get to pick them up, and there are many to choose) and a piece of pizza. I had the Tree Hugger Salad, the baby spinach, marinated tofu, edamame, picked onion, mandarin oranges, cran mushrooms and pumpkin seeds, and was mixed with a wonderful tomato/orange/bassilia vinaigrette. Such a fantastic combination! The marinated Tofu was so good, I had to share a bite with my partner who liked it as much as I did. The beautiful surroundings added to our enjoyment of fresh, nutritious food. Coolgreens is almost circular, with glass walls completely enclose the entire inner dining area. This creates a very pleasant, airy feeling and offers a beautiful view of the trees, grass and passers-by outside. The coolgreens staff was friendly and efficient and even thanked us for coming! Wow! Very impressive!"
