"Visited the Fitzwilliam Arms for an evening family meal. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who were attentive throughout our visit. The beer garden is very spacious, well kept and over looks fields where sheep graze which I found rather charming and lovely for younger children. We ate our meal inside which again was spacious, tastefully decorated furnished. A very pleasant dining area. We didn't have a long wait from ordering our food or in between courses, and plates were cleared in a good timeframe. The food was exceptional. I ordered calamari to start, pork for main (which was devine) and crème brûlée for pudding. All 3 courses were of a very high standard and I would recommend trying any of them. This pub really does tick all the boxes for me and we'll definitely be visiting again. A very pleasant dining experience. Lovely pub. Great staff wonderful food."

"My partner and I had been to the sister restaurant Zada in Stamford and were excited when we found out there would be a new place opening closer to home. Well I must say Tavan didn’t disappoint. The food was cooked to perfection, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was superb. I hope this restaurant gets a Michelin star just like Zada did because it is truly deserved!"

"We have been in town for four months and trying diff places every other week. We ate twice at the Italian place down the street, and went back for third but greeting always rubbed me the wrong way so actually turned around and went to Ship Inn. This week we tried Dexter's and it hit the nail on head, the staff is positive, professional, and all around great. We ordered the Greek app plate and 4 tapas plates with wine. Wife said it was the best dinner since we arrived. Good on all fronts. We found out main stay for dinner."
