"Ladies nite out was a blast at Bar italia. A charming server {Alan?} told us the specials while entertaining us at the same time. Two of us had the recommended rack of lamb ( note: its not on the menu so ask your server about it.) cooked to perfection. The other two had the Branzino, personal I cant eat anything with a head still on it but they said it was tender and well done. The recommended vanilla cheesecake by Alan is also not on the menu and you have to be in the know to ask for it. Wasn't a big fan of the house cabernet but hey, two bottles later it couldn't have been that bad.always walked past this place never went in. Id highly recommend it."

"As an Italian born in Northern Italy there a few restaurants in Canada that can truly match the true authentic flavor of Italy. La Fenice is one of them and when I am in Toronto it is my go to place for Italian Food. All the pasta dishes are excellent and the "Risotto Milanese" is to die for. They are one of the very few Italian restaurants that serve the dessert, "zabaglione" - a warm custard served over fresh berries ,"
