"This is a charming and delicious neighborhood Italian restaurant in the heart of Park Slope in Brooklyn. I went with family for lunch on a Monday and we practically had the place to ourselves. The food was excellent, the service even more so, but it was pricey (over $450 for four people with 2 bottles of wine, coffee, and dessert, plus tip). Our server appeared to be family of the proprietors since, when we praised him on his ability to recite the entire menu from memory, he allowed as how he have been working there from the age of 12. He had very helpful suggestions and input for our food and wine selections (helpfully every table comes pre-set with a bottle of Italian wine to inspire the clientele). My favorites on the menu were the Caesar salad (arguably the best I've ever had) and the eggplant parmesan, uncharacteristically served as a long, flat, fried filet. I was less fond of the calamari (not bad, but I've had better) and the cheesecake made with Ricotta instead of American cream cheese (I discovered I prefer the latter). Because of the price, this place is better suited to special occasions rather than everyday dining, but it was quite enjoyable."
