"Was looking forward to our evenings dinner as had read the positive reviews. Sadly it was far from what I had expected. I take no pleasure in scoring such a low mark but when you end up walking out of a restaurant sadly 1 is all that you deserve. We had booked and on arrival were shown to a nice 2 table booth. The staff were pleasant enough especially the chap on duty. It took a few minutes to be handed a menu which was not really an issue but the restaurant was quite quiet. I ordered a beer and a bottle of Albariño. Then I was hoping we could order our food and it was at this point my wife and I started to have reservations. I was asked a 2nd time what beer I had ordered. Then we were approached and asked again what beer I had ordered and advised the wine might not be available and would,we order something else. So we were waiting to find out whether the wine was actually available but eventually ordered another wine. So far so unimpressive. Then I watched the staff wander about and no sign of the beer I ordered 10 minutes previously. My wife eventually turner and said if ordering drinks was such a challenge we had no confidence the rest of the evening would go at all smoothly. Reluctantly we got up and left. I am sure this restaurant has better days and the reviews would back that up but it was so disappointing. Ended going to a restaurant called Usquabae in the West End which was fantastic and service and food impeccable. So evening rescued but Ishmael need to up their game in terms of staffing and service."

"Aranchini were very good. Mains and sides were really tasty, just disappointed that one diners petite filet turn out to be same size as the baseball filet...the baseball filet being smaller than expected. Service was excellent, great staff. Drink menu was super."

"The bluemark entertainment team did a wedding here and it was fantastic ! Adam and his team did an amazing job accommodating some special requests and fed all the supplier with delicious food ! "We used to love coming to the PV for family get togethers but the last two visits have been disappointing. We gave it the benefit of the doubt last time but this latest experience has convinced us that the decline is a trend. The food, once well-cooked and with an interesting twist, has become standard pub grub at gastropub prices. Two of the main course options were sold out at 6.30pm and what options remained were over-seasoned. Crab salad drowned in mayo; plaice swimming in butter, steak tough. Service was friendly but when diners are greeted with a list of what they cannot order , the menu is mundane and food not well cooked, the overall experience is not up to the hefty price tab. What a pity."
