"This place has a special lunch and not advertising, what makes it very sketched that they?re just trying to suck more money. Pizzas are higher than Pinthouse, and the service is 20 times worse. Twice now? ve had to go back to the kitchen and ask if someone works outside. It is very close and convenient and the food is good, but the first two points are difficult to overlook."

"We’ve been coming here for the past three years for our anniversary. The first year, no acknowledgment of our anniversary happened even though the next table was decorated and a slice of cake was given as a gift. Our mimosas were delivered minutes apart and I had to ask about what they do for anniversary dessert. Our server took care of us after that. Oh well, even though the reservation said it was our anniversary, maybe that was just a fluke. The next year was better even during covid. We sat outside near the fountain. This year was our anniversary. Our adult kids joined us for the first time. The table was decorated and outside seating was lovely. Sadly, our server seemed to go out of his way not to acknowledge our event. We were charged for our slice of pie and the service was poor at best. Plates were stacked up on our very small table for four and after asking to be cleared, was not cleared until the end of the meal. I waited tables over a decade and this is not difficult. His rudeness overshadowed our special day. I’m not sure why someone works in the service industry only to provide poor service. Sad to say, we won’t be going back next year. It’s just too iffy and there are plenty of restaurants that deeply care about their customers. We are born and raised in Austin and it’s disappointing since Chez Zee has been an Austin staple since our childhood. I’m sure we’ll be back for non-event brunch since my husband loves the tenderloin benedict."

"First time here but definitely not the last. I had the veggie chalupas and it was sooo yummy! Flavors paired together perfectly. And it was filling. I’m normally a big hungry but I was able to take one home for a snack later in the evening. I also had a Margarita and had them add jalapeños "
