"We ate here because were were staying at Pousada e Dao Sebastiao where the restaurant is located. The dinner and lunch menus were somewhat limited but the selections were tasty and authentic to the Azores. There was an excellent wine list that represented both Azorean and mainland Portuguese vintages. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was excellent as well. The restaurant was short staffed but the waiters including Pedro did their best to make sure we had a good experience."

"We recently visited the islands and we count Roberto's as the absolute highpoint of our dining experiences. From the moment we walked through the door and throughout the evening we felt so completely welcomed by Roberto and Marilda and the restaurant staff. The food and wine selections were amazing and the meal was cooked to perfection. There are so many things about the island that we love and that will bring us back and Roberto's ranks at the top of the list."

"By far the best steak I have ever had! Went in tonight for some food and drinks. Started with the bread, olives, meat and cheese. Which was all fantastic. Had the steak on a stone, and some red sangria to go along with it. The steak on a stone was INCREDIBLE. The best ever, as I said above. It comes with three amazing sauces for dipping, and the owner teaches you how to cook to your liking and even fed us our first bite! He was the most entertaining host I have ever encountered. We finished our meal with deep fried ice cream which was a perfect finish to the meal. 5 stars. All around. Every category. I'd rate it higher if I could."
