"This restaurant was converted from a house and has great seating on an extended veranda. Our hostess and chef are the owners and were kind enough to provide seating without a reservation. We began on the veranda and when a torrential downpour began they moved us inside. They provided a brief tour of the kitchen. The food was delightful!"

"I had low expectations when I visited this restaurant, but I left pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Our group opted for the la table d’hote, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. To start, I ordered the du chaudron and went for the bisque d’homard, even though I'm not a big seafood fan. To my surprise, it was amazing. The choice of entrées was delightful; I had the Fondants de fromage de l'abbaye St-Benoit. While the plate presentation wasn't impressive, the flavors were surprisingly good, especially the salad with its delicious sweet sauce.For my main course, I chose the Bavette de bœuf grillée with sauce au bleu. I loved the sauce, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beef. This place definitely knows how to cook meat. I rounded off my meal with the pouding chômeur, which brought back childhood memories and was equally delightful.The only downside was the service. Our glasses remained empty, and no one checked on our basic needs. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant based on the delicious food and byob."

"We had heard about the lava rook cooking experience. It was a blast and the food was fantastic. I was the pessimist, as there are some places where the experience is fun but the food is bla....Benihana was my last bad experience. So, this was a great shocker. The outside is very summer, grill but the inside is very well appointed. Open kitchen etc. I had the Filet and Shrimp on the Lava rock. Wow! Not a cheap cut, but really nice along with very large shrimp. We combined this with the Ceasar salad, and voila. Try it, I don't think you'll be dissapointed"

"Love this restaurant. It’s my go to place to celebrate birthdays etc. The ambience is terrific. Take your time, you don’t want to rush the meal. The menu changes rarely which my husband is not too happy with but he has thoroughly enjoyed everything on...it, multiple times."

"Besides the charming place, the reception was rather cold and the service deficient. long waiting for the order and then forget the waitress to place our order in the kitchen! Finally, ordinary and not very appetizing. Despite the apology, we were very disappointed with this restaurant that had been warmly recommended to us!"
