"We recently tried this restaurant, which was near our hotel in Geneva. There was not much around and the weather was foul so we decided to give it a try. The dining room is very informal and frankly could use some colour or warmth to it. That being said,the place filled up quite quickly after we had settled in. The waittress was young and friendly but slow as molasses in bringing us the menu. She finally did however, and apologized that she only had one menu left and we had to share which was not a problem. Once we got over the initial shock of Geneva prices, we decided on sharing dishes since we had never tried Iranian food and also were not that hungry. We ordered stuffed grape leaves as a starter which was very tasty and beautifully arranged on the plate, served with a basket of bread. Next came a main dish of two mixed brochettes, one with chicken and filet of lamb and the other with ground lamb mixed with spices. They were served on a huge bed of saffron rice and a small portion of fresh chutney (chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley). The portion was quite big so thankfully we did not order more. The chicken and filet of lamb were quite flavourful, however I personally did not like the ground lamb as I found it far too fatty for my liking. My husband didn't mind it though and happily finished it off. Of note, they do not serve alcohol in this restaurant, which was not a problem for us as we had a bottle of wine waiting for us at our hotel room, but worth knowing ahead of time. The staff were friendly and hospitable and once the order was in, we were served in good time. The total for the meal (we drank tap water out of a pitcher) was 61 francs, which was not as bad as many other restaurants downtown. I would definitely go back and as we are moving to Geneva shortly, might make it a regular place."
