"Always a busy restaurant, we have been coming to the Livesey over a few years now and it goes from strength to strength. We called with friends on a Thursday evening, the bar was busy with good humoured banter and the restaurant was warm and friendly. Served by Jo, I had the chilli prawns starter followed by sirloin steak, others had the venison which I was informed was to ‘die for’ and I was assured the filet steak was delicious. We are blessed in having such a great pub in the area, without doubt, it is one of the best."

"This is the second time this year that we have stayed at the Black Horse and we will definitely be back. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was brilliant and the real ale excellent."
