"First I will refer them to my august 12, 2019 review of this same restaurant. I have been there several times since this last review, but the feeling that the experience of the last night there demands my additional comments. we had an unwanted waiter yesterday. he was often rude and restless, but had some moments to be polite. everyone on the table (7 of us) noticed his behavior. I will not go to all the specialties, but will begin with the first snippy answer he was made when my wife asked if she had her lobster ravioli (they were out of her last time we were there.) he reacted that it was on the menu and his ton speech was in worse position. my wife then mentioned that they were out of her last time we were there and this waiter replied with some commentary about dinge, which did not constant in the university his ton again spoke volume. almost everyone on our table had a similar kind of rude attitude experience with him. He said at a point that he had done this for 30 years. I suppose he said he was a waiter for 30 years. I can only imagine that he must have worked at least 30 restaurants this time because I don't see a restaurant that keeps him on the staff over a year. Porters remains one of my favorite restaurants in medford, and as soon as I think enough time has gone for this waiter to have moved on, I will return. the rest of the staff was very professional and polite. the food was excellent. the kitchen staff of porters has never disappointed. I suspect that anyone who works on porters and reads that will know who I am referring to. I cannot imagine that I am the first person to refer to the behavior of the waiter. my final comment is the automatic addition of the gratuity that is common for groups of our size in restaurants. I would certainly not have given this waiter 20%, and I am a very nice tipper. I think a smaller (10% or 15 basic automatic tip would be better suited to allow me to add extra tip if justified. again thanks to and nice work on all the workers in porters, except the waiter we had. Note that this is not a negative assessment of porter, only from a certain waiter they use."

"Nice concept, but my experience wasn't great. they were from my first 2 menus. had weed, artichokes and calamari. artichokes were well sown, but seemed from a dose. calamari wasn't amusing. (maybe frozen) I did not like that I was charged for extra brot to go with the apps. Try it again."

"It was ok and the staff was great. With that said, the prime rib was quite bland and Luke warm. That was really the only issue that was noticeable about the food. All of the glasses, whether for water or drinks, were badly spotted. I would try again though I think. "We had to ask them to turn down the music …. Which they did. My husband did not like the gnocchi…. My food was ok, however, for the price I was disappointed. The really good dish was the roasted veggies with carrot jus. The tables were very close together, making it difficult to get in and out. I’m glad I can check this restaurant off my list….we won’t be returning."
