"We had a coupon which is what brought this restaurant to our attention. The atmosphere is nice, good background music, quiet and very clean. Food was superb. We ordered the eggplant appetizer dish and it was very good, I don't usually like eggplant, but liked this dish. We both ordered the beef filet shish kabob and the meat was so tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The serving sizes are huge! One dinner plate can easily feed two. For a Friday night there was only one other table, which is really sad, because the food and the service are awesome. Would love to see this place survive, so please visit. You won't be disappointed."

"Always a pleasure to eat here, the French onion soup and blooming onions are the reasons I come. Steak is steak, very tasty and always great staff. Even had some issues and the staff and mangers were very accommodating."

"Great Italian food. Love their peppers and sausage. Tradition dishes are all very good. Portions always allow you to take some home for lunch the next day. They are now open 7 days a week. They make the best chocolate martinis"

"If i could give it more stars i would. Saying this place has good food is an understatement. This is the way old world food should be made. It slaps your taste buds silly. This is the closest real german food there is in america unless you were born in Germany. The service was amazing and it makes you feel at home. I hope this place never updates. The feel of the environment is amazingly wonderful."

"We went Saturday around 3 P.M. The place is very clean and staff very friendly. Our Waiter did a good service put attention to the details and the best she wasn't every 10 minutes asking if everything was good (which I prefer). If you haven't tried a Prickly Pear Margarita THIS is the place to go!!!!! We started with the chicken soup. Great chicken portion I didn't finished it even when was VERY good because wanted to order main dish and dessert. We ordered a lasagna. A small part of the top of it was a little bit over exposed to heat because had a part I couldn't cut but was good. We also ordered the shrimps with pasta and steak. Perfect cooked, well seasoned. The music good, was according to the environment. Also had the Tiramisú and this is the best I have tried around. I'm giving 5 stars in all. And will go back because would love to try the pizza. Loved the place!!!"

"My wife and I were sitting by the pool one day, and our neighbour asked us if we ever had a calzone of Flancer. We were pretty new to Mesa and hadn't heard of Flancers, but when we visited, she was right. The Calzone is amazing. We also learned later that they make their own bread in the house, and if you have one of their sandwiches, you will know that it is fresh. I'm really hungry as I type. Since then we have become racist fans and have visited both the Mesa and Gilbert locations. My favorite attizer is the goat cheese bruschetta and a short second is the prickly pear wing. For the main course my wife loves the Chile Verde Birdie Turkey Sandwich and I enjoyed the Filet Mignon Sandwich. I don't think you'll find something on the menu that's not good: Of course I'm trying to stay away from candy, but I had the Cobbler once (Aala mode... let's just say I wish I could satisfy this sweet tooth more often."
