"When I travel for work, I almost always sit at the bar to have my dinner. There usually is some camaraderie and friendly interaction, which is nice for a single traveler. Not tonight, not at Bistro 217. Patrons were not friendly, bartenders were not friendly. I always come here to eat when I am in Georgetown, and I found the food to be somewhat lower in quality. The Korean Chicken was very sweet, the pimento cheese with the bread basket was tasteless and the rolls were really stale. The wine list, as always, was very good. It was a disappointing visit."

"Seated in the reservation only part, not the downstairs cafe. went to wrong part when we came in but they clearly saw we were dressed for upstairs. Cindy was our waitress and a absolute doll. Very knowledgeable, great server. We had the shrimp andrisotto app, amazing. i got the surf and turf special and she got the halibut special, absolutely amazing. finished withdeserts. watched the sunset. only downside is my marg i ordered was 99% tequila, had to ask for more syrup so i wasn'tdrinking straight up fire fuel :"

"Excellent overall experience!! Hostesses were helpful and had service and the customer in mind. Our waitress was great. The food was awesome! We had the grouper lightly blackened. It was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Hanser House if you are ever down our way."
