"This restaurant was recommended but the real experience exceeded our expectations. The ambiance is friendly, food is excellent, portions generous and the staff really cares about customers and servers do their best to make sure that guests enjoy. They make customers feel at home and like family. Not only did Ana make sure that we order the best dishes and constantly checked that we get everything we wanted, when they called for us a cab and none was available, one of the staff members borrowed a car and drove to our accommodation. This place is HIGHLY recommended."

"As other reviewers have commented, this place is basic but the food is very good! My waiter was very friendly and attentive, which was very much welcome when you travel on your own.I had some type of pork scratchings (torresmos) which were delicious and also local black pudding with pineapple which was a pleasant surprise as it worked really well. Then I had breaded fried fish, which I recommend. I discovered that as opposed to what happens in mainland Portugal, where they master the grilling of fish over charcoal, the grilled fish in the Azores is generally not to those high standards, despite the freshness of the fish. If you are traveling in this part of the island, I would recommend to consider this place for lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed!!!"
