"First: the steak was great. but the 16 men were completely overwhelmed by us. they had completely forgotten. only steaks, then after another 10 min. staeks were cold now. staeks went back. either too little or too expensive. then the hammer came, we wanted to pay. almost 1000 euro and we should write out who should pay. after almost an hour and some wrong things on the bill we could finally pay. Conclusion: the 2 male operation was ok. the female operation also apparently was the owner a single catastrophe. unfriendly, no apology, not mentioning something at the expense of the house. we were here last time, then again love el rancho"

"This was the first restaurant we visited during our 16 day visit to Germany and though we are from Texas and expecting our host and hostess to take us to a German restaurant, we were very pleased they opted instead for their favorite restaurant in Siegen, El Rancho. The Texas decor made us feel at home. The salad bar had a wide variety of fresh items, the small filet was huge, so juicy and tender, and the wine wonderful! A very scrumptious meal for 2 weary and starving travelers just off an international flight."

"While the food was good I rated this average due to the rudeness of our waiter! It was only our second day during our first trip to Germany and a shame to have encountered such a nasty wait person. Our hostess friends who live nearby,...frequent this restaurant and know the owner were stunned and shocked by his rudeness and were embarrassed by such treatment. If you don’t like your job then quite. And if you don’t like foreigners then find another line of work."
