"We both had seafood and each dish was cooked perfectly. Lots of flavors and not overwhelmed with garlic. Service was well timed, courteous and responsive. Music and sound system were excellent. A relaxed and enjoyable meal."

"After another long day of driving (this time in Northeastern-NFLD), we had a late lunch and weren't super-hungry for dinner. Green Sleeves had a lot of options, so we went there, to find something small. My wife saw the Calamari (and had a craving for...them), so she ordered that as her entire meal; not huge by any stretch, but a very good portion for an appetizer. I saw that they had a burger special (just a burger, for $6.00), so went with that. Was very well-cooked and the condiments/topping were super-fresh. There was live music as well and that helped make the evening fun, as well we left having paid (with tip), less than $25.00; can't go wrong at all."

"I was looking for authentic NL cuisine and I wasn’t disappointed! The server was helpful and friendly. The food was prepared fresh and quickly and well packaged. Cod tongues was served with a generous amount of scrumptious scruncheon that was crispy, yet juicy when bitten into and perfectly salty! Cod was meaty and tasty. The seafood chowder was creamy and full of chunks of delicious seafood and full of flavour (generous pieces of salmon which I enjoyed though there was a tiny piece of bone in one of the salmon pieces). I wish they would give more than one small piece of crostini with the soup though. The pan fried cod was good but a little bland. I did like it was topped with scruncheon. Fries were good but the veggies were a bit undercooked (crunchy carrots and zucchini). Overall it was an awesome lunch and I’d definitely return to try other dishes."

"Our experience at portabelos could not be beat. I was part of a large group. We were celebrating a coworkers retirement. Everything was fabulous! Our server Steve was great and he made the night fun! All of our meals were delicious and piping hot. The drinks were great! The desserts were fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about our evening. Can't wait to do it again!!"
